The fixture for teenagers

The goal: align and engage teeth to restore an aesthetic smile and functional bite.

As your teeth align, they’ll be sensitive for the first few days, especially when you chew food. To alleviate this problem, you can take painkillers.

For fast treatment:

  • Do not remove or break anything
  • So avoid sticky foods like candy and toffee, and don't bite into fruits and vegetables like raw carrots or apples. Cut them into pieces before putting them in your mouth.
  • Don't bite your nails or your pens at school!

Brackets and wires can irritate your cheeks and tongue: as soon as you feel any discomfort, apply the wax we’ve given you and reapply as often as necessary. After a few days, your lips will get used to it and all will be well! If the thread protrudes and stings at the back after a few days, it’s a sign that your appliance has already worked well. Should you experience any discomfort, please contact us.

Dental hygiene:

Use a soft toothbrush (with a small head) and an interdental brush. With your brush, go under the wire while looking at yourself in the mirror. Brush your teeth 3 times a day after meals. Healthy gums are less sensitive, while poor hygiene can lead to cavities and gum problems.
