Dr Christophe Guedat

Christophe Guédat has devoted himself entirely to orthodontics for many years; not only for its technical and medical aspects, but also because he loves people above all.

He obtained his diploma in dentistry in 2015 from the University of Geneva, then began his orthodontic practice in Biel. At the same time, he carried out his research work, which enabled him to obtain a PhD in 2019.

From 2016 and 2020, he joined the orthodontics division of the University of Geneva to complete the MAS post-graduate training in orthodontics, which enabled him to obtain the title of Swiss Specialist in Orthodontics (SSODF/SSO).

After this specialization, he chose the school dental service of the canton of Geneva to practice there for 1 year, in parallel with his entry into the Centre médico-dentaire de Balexert. He also has extensive experience through his clinical activity for various renowned orthodontists: notably President of the Swiss Orthodontic Society 2005-2009 (Dr. Büchler, 2018-2020), President of the Bernese Orthodontic Section 2014-2019 (Dr. Ryf, 2015-2016) and Dr. Olsburgh in Lausanne (2020- 2023)

In addition to his clinical activity, he is passionate about teaching and has held a position as lecturer in the orthodontics division at the University of Geneva since 2020. This activity also enables him to integrate the latest technologies into his daily practice.

He is the author of several scientific publications and was awarded the Prix Etienne Fernex 2022, a qualitative distinction for his research. He is a member of the Swiss Society of Dento-Facial Orthodontics (SSODF), the Swiss Society of Dentists (SSO), the European Society of Orthodontics (EOS), and the Association des Anciens Assistants de la division d’Orthodontie de l’université de Genève (AAAO). He is certified in Speed and Win (orthodontic brackets), Invisalign and Spark (transparent aligners) and Tigerdental (distalization and expansion with anchors).
